Never in my whole life I would have thought that possible. This has also encouraged me to let my son (age 5) to see mummy apply herself to music, practice and perform. My relationship to creativity - like my relationship to everything else in life - got royally fucked by infertility, so learning and loving something new, especially music, gives me incredible joy....   • I really can't praise Folkestone First Timers highly enough - it's such a great initiative. I'd been interested in learning to play the drums for years, but didn't want to commit to expensive 1 to 1 tuition. I heard about the Folkestone First Timers drumming workshops and went along. I absolutely loved it - it was great to be with other people also starting from scratch. And the tutor was amazing - by the end of the session, we were all playing along to some well known songs. I've continued to be part of the group and am going to regular band practice, and really looking forward to attending more workshops in the future.
